December 23, 2007

It's the Eve of Christmas Eve and nice cloudy day. It was about 33 degrees this morning but has now cooled off to 22. We're supposed to get some snow tonight and tomorrow. Hopefully, a lot.
Both me and Guy have this entire week off. A nice surprise mini-vacation. We don't have much planned other than maybe driving down to stay with my parents for a day or two.
I received great news. I was offered a book contract for one of my stories by Tate Publishing which I have accepted and returned to them. It will be about a year before the book hits the market. Needless to say, I am extremely happy about this!
Not much else is going on except that I got a nice bonus for Christmas and learned that I will be getting a raise after the first of the year. So, this year is ending quite nicely and the new one will get off to a good start as well.
My job is going great. I'm going to be in charge of the dispensing pharmacy at our office. We will have the ability to prescribe and fill prescriptions for just our patients and will mainly be cancer-related drugs. I did my training last Thursday and Friday and we're supposed to start dispensing sometime after the first of the year.
Thomas and Ezra are doing fine. Thomas got new colored bands on his braces last week. Now he is sporting orange and blue on his teeth. Ezra is fine. I think he's in between girlfriends now. He got all dressed up and went to a Christmas dance at school last Thursday. He is really looking quite grown up.
That's about it for now. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!
