The photo above is of Kenai Lake. Beautiful day it was.
It's been a busy year for bears. So far, I've seen seven. I couldn't tell you the last time I even saw one. My parents had a young brown bear hanging around their place over the past weekend. My dad finally scared it away. But we were down there Saturday night and were able to get a bunch of good pictures of it. Pretty cool.
It finally warmed up today. It's the first day that it's actually felt like summer. Of course, it's clouded back over and trying to rain, but I think it's just a passing rain shower. It's supposed to be nice again over the rest of the weekend.
Everything seems to be slow in coming this year - the warm weather, the fish. The king runs seem to be slow, but everyone's predicting it will pick up. The reds are running up the Kenai and at Russian River. Not sure how good they're running, though. I'm more interested in halibut. It's a far better tasting fish to eat. Yum.
That's about it for now. :)
